May 2009 – BELLEVUE
Muscles
records were broken in the City of Bellevue, WA over a two day period
in early May 2009 when a team of twenty Muscles volunteers took
down a 30' x 20' wooden deck and totally resized and rebuilt it.
Volunteers
from Canada, the UK and across Washington State totalled a record
217 voluntary hours and drew the following praise from the registered
charity - Helping Hands for the Disabled: "You guys are awesome".
"Helping
Hands has had a great relationship with the Muscles team for several
years, and I think this year was the best.
The
residents who live upstairs will have the benefit of having a safe
area outside where they can relax and enjoy some bbq as the summer
gets closer.
It
amazes me the energy and satisfaction that the Muscles members had,
and the dedication to work until the sun disappeared!"
