.....driving crime reduction ideas and solutions across Mid Suffolk

Bus Stop 1: MSCPP and ASB

Jeff Willmot, Chair of the ASB groupThe Crime & Disorder Act 1998 requires local authorities and the police to work with key partners and agencies in partnership to formulate and implement local crime reduction strategies.

MSCPP is part of Mid Suffolk Crime & Disorder Partnership and leads as an Implementation Group with the aim of preventing and reducing levels of anti social behaviour in rural areas of Mid Suffolk.

Details of the Mid Suffolk Crime & Disorder strategy can be found here .

Working as the Anti Social Behaviour Reduction Implementation (ASB) Group, members of MSCPP have already provided helpful advice and assistance to rural communities in Mid Suffolk to help 'problem solve' incidents of anti social behaviour. Its members have produced a presentation pack to assist them when giving presentations to community groups.

One thing that has become apparent is that groups such as Parish Councils sometimes find difficulty in accessing information that might help them solve problems involving anti social behaviour.
