Mid Suffolk enjoys one of the lowest reported crime rates in England and Wales. Low crime is not an indication that there is no crime, and any crime has a cost in time and resources for the victim, the police and the judicial system. Crime also promotes a ‘fear of crime’ and lowers the quality of life in our communities.

Adopting the strategy of ‘Crime Costs and Prevention Pays’, Mid Suffolk Crime Prevention Panel – working in partnership with a number of statutory and voluntary agencies, seeks to help communities identify problems of an anti social nature and provide independent advice and practical solutions.

When anti social behaviour and criminal activity are identified there are a number of partner agencies available to assist you. These are identified at Bus Stop 3.

Mid Suffolk Crime Prevention Panel may be able to assist, and provide an independent review of your problems and provide suggestions and additional contacts. Irritating behaviour in one area may be viewed as acceptable or criminal in an other. Identifying the correct approach is extremely important and may lead to time saving rather than time wastage.
