Judith Weale  was born and brought up in Kent. She has played the oboe from the age of 12 and the saxophone from 14, and was a member of the Kent Youth Wind Orchestra, Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Kent Youth Orchestra.

After gaining a BA (Hons) in music and a PGCE she moved to Suffolk in 1989 to take up the post of double reed specialist for the County Music Service where she still works part time. Judith is also a qualified hypnotherapist and has a practice in Ipswich.

Judith is a member of the Wolsey Orchestra and plays for choral societies and other chamber groups.
Having a husband who is a violinist and two musical children, home life is very busy - and noisy!

Any spare time is taken up with dog walking.
